A HISTORIC MASNARD RENOVATION IN NEWPORT, RI

This 2014 pro bono renovation project was a significant milestone in Nicholas' career, representing his first solo design effort. Although the project did not progress into the construction phase, the meticulously executed drawings and vibrant color renderings continue to serve as a strong testament to his design skills and attention to detail.

While retaining the original home's spirit, Nicholas recreated most of the exterior, bringing new life and vitality to the structure. The interior underwent a modernization process, transforming it into a contemporary living space. The result was a harmonious blend of old and new that provided a seamless transition between the two.

In addition to these changes, Nicholas added a new roof deck on the smaller two-story massing on the right side of the home. The deck became a focal point for outdoor entertainment, providing a breathtaking view of the surroundings.
